Stones of Abraxas was originally released in July 2006 by Medallion Press. It is now out of print at Medallion because they ended their line of young adult books, but if you'd like to read it, you can check your library or email me to purchase a copy ($8 each, which includes shipping in the continental U.S.) or visit me at one of my book signings.
SAD NEWS: Stones of Abraxas had been under contract with a new publisher called Tiger Publications and was set to be re-released in fall 2008. Tiger was also going to publish Book #2 in the Abraxas series, Heroes of Abraxas. Unfortunately, Tiger Publications closed its doors in June 2008, so they will not be publishing any more books.
FUTURE PLANS: Admittedly, one publisher of the Abraxas books has left the YA market, while another has closed down completely. But I will not admit that I'm some kind of black widow who's shutting down publishers as I weave a web of evil and destruction. (Even though it sometimes feels that way :0) No, I won't let one (or two) little (or big) setback(s) stop me. I'm now in search of a new publisher that will re-print Stones of Abraxas, publish Heroes of Abraxas, and hopefully be interested in the remaining three books in the five-book Abraxas Pentagram series. I will post updates here when I have them.
Book #2: Heroes of Abraxas
If you think David and Amanda's first summer in Abraxas was full of excitment and danger - well, just wait until their next trip!
Between break-ins at Castle Annwyn, being crushed by a ten-ton nidge worm, man-eating floors, and a surprise so horrifying it's even got Peter worried, Heroes of Abraxas takes readers on another thrilling journey to this magical land. Click here to see what David, Amanda, Peter, and Beth are up to now.

Book #3: Rulers of Abraxas
When David and Amanda make a horrible discovery at home, it's not long before they find themselves seeking protection in Abraxas once again. On this trip, David's being watched, Amanda's convinced she's losing her mind, Peter's sitting in a dragon's mouth, and Beth's making soldiers cry. In other words, just a normal summer in the magical world.
Here's what the critics say about Stones of Abraxas:
A review of Stones of Abraxas is at Novelspot.net! Here's what they say: "The characters are so vivid they walk off the pages... The magic is believable... The action is ongoing and the dialog snaps." Click to read the whole review at http://www.novelspot.net/node/966.
Another great review comes from Harriet Klausner. She writes, "K. Osborn Sullivan has the magical touch when it comes to writing great young adult fantasy." I'm blushing, and Ms. Klausner is my new best friend. Read the whole thing at Midwest Book Review: http://www.midwestbookreview.com/mbw/aug_06.htm#klausner or Reviewcentre.com: http://www.reviewcentre.com/review202447.html.
Also, you'll find a very nice interview with me and review of Stones of Abraxas from Beverly Rowe in her Babes To Teens books column. Head over to read them at http://www.myshelf.com/babetoteen/column.htm.
What do YOU think? You can post your own review at a number of sites on the web, including Amazon.com or YABooksCentral.com. Let others know what you think and help them choose books that are right for them. Believe me, it's a thrill to see your own name in print, and posting reviews is a way to see your name at websites that can be viewed worldwide.
Does Stones of Abraxas count for AR credit at your school?
I'm working on it! I sent an application to the company that lists AR books and writes the quizzes for them. In order to get the book listed, one of the things they look for are some requests for it from teachers and school librarians (hint, hint!). In the meantime, I have written my own ten-question multiple choice quiz to accompany Stones of Abraxas. That way, educators can offer points to students for reading the book, even before it's officially included on the AR list. If you are a teacher or school librarian and would like a copy of my free Stones of Abraxas quiz, please email me. Please include your school name, address, and phone number, and I will be happy to send you a copy of the quiz.
